About me

Bio (short)

Always passionate about music and technology, Federico Pepe today likes to simply describe himself as a music technology expert.

His academic path and personal artistic research have led him, over the years, to explore every possible connection between these two disciplines.

Since 2021 he has been working at Ableton as Ableton Brand Manager for Italy, managing projects, relationships, and activities on behalf of the company in the Italian market.

Before embarking on this new chapter, he built over 10 years of experience in education, collaborating — among others — with the University of Udine, ALOUD College in Verona, and the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Despite his role at Ableton, he continues to teach courses, workshops, and give talks on a regular basis.

As a freelancer he has supported (and continues to support) many artists in their studio and live productions.

Drawing on all the experience accumulated over the years, in 2025 he co-founded Frequenze with Riccardo Marcucci (Ableton Product Specialist), an Ableton Certified Training Center offering online courses covering everything related to Ableton products and music production in general.

The desire to help people achieve their goals is what drives everything he does. He loves learning new things, tackling new challenges, and sharing what he has learned over the years in the simplest and most accessible way possible.

Musicians have to play the instruments that best reflect the times we’re in, play the technology that will give you what you want to hear. All these purists are walking around talking about how electrical instruments will ruin music. Bad music is what will ruin music, not the instruments the musicians choose to play. I don’t see nothing wrong with electrical instrumens as long as you get great musicians who will play them right – Miles Davis
